David Teplow addressed the New York Oracle Users Group (NYOUG) during their General Meeting on December 7, 2016.  David's Who's Down wit' MPP? presentation gave insights into the rise of Hadoop and the many other Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) technologies that are better suited than RDBMS for Big Data systems.

David Teplow addressed the Northeast Oracle Users Group (NOUG) during their "Hadoop for the Oracle Professional" event on March 24, 2016.  The event began with David's Introduction to Hadoop.  That was followed by a 2-hour Hands-On Hadoop session led by Marty Lurie of Cloudera.  The event concluded with a panel discussion on the Skills and Tools that you’ll need as a Hadoop Admin / Developer, which was facilitated by David.
